My first flight in the aeroplane — My first impression — felt quite comfortable in the aeroplane — Scenes and sights enjoyed — Conclusion.
April 1st Narrative Essay My first plane flight happened December 27th, It was the scariest and happiest time of my life. On the day of the flight my mother and I woke up around 5: It felt like time had slowed and was trying to torture me with the drive.
As we finally arrived in Houston mother and I looked for the George Bush Intercontinental Airport exit, once we found it they had these letters for the gates of the people who had flights.
We got turned around only twice, so we went down the letter "B" to get a parking place that was at the gate nearest to my flight. We were able to find one; my heart was pounding in my chest so hard I thought it was going to beat itself out of my chest! We followed the signs to gate B, and then stood in line to get tags on my luggage I was rolling behind me.
By the time we got to the end of the security line it was already 9: My nerves instantly kicked into over drive as the seconds ticked away the hour. My gate was 84B while hers was 75B. While we waited the security guards started calling departure times, we all looked down at our tickets and watched as others raced to the front of the line to catch their flights on time.
Her daughter and my mother had to get out of the line since we were close to the check point. I knew my mother was asking about my flight time to the guards and they all reassured her I was going to be on time for it.
As we got closer to the check point my hands began to get sweaty as I handed the guard at the table my ID and my ticket so I could pass. I went into the shortest line; I watched what others were doing. I took off my velvet black jacket putting t into the bin I picked up by the x-ray machine.
Next came off my shoes, turning them over so the soles were facing the ceiling, then I had to take off my bracelets, rings and empty out my pockets. I had placed my purse along with my jewelry and bathroom pouch into the bin, pushing it closer to the belt that would take it through the x-ray machine.
On the news I heard about how "thoroughly" passengers were patted down, another fear of mine I had picked up. I was lucky enough to not experience that on this flight. I was in the line for this "container" type looking thing. When I went through and stood in the middle of it, I had to face the x-ray machine with my hands above my head and feet spread apart.
So I had to do it again, once I stepped out the woman who was in control of the machine told me to stay where I was. She asked me if I had anything on me, but all I had left was my boot cut jeans, blue thermal socks and my black sweater on that also had a little belt to it and a button on my left shoulder.
The guard nodded an okay to me so I could continue to get my stuff from the belt. As I was putting back on my shoes another guard came up to me and asked to look in my bathroom pouch.
He returned a couple minutes later and told me I was good to go. After making sure I had everything I saw the older woman waiting by a little Starbucks shop. I was so relieved, she took me to my gate and I had to find my way from the big 84B to the small Gate I thought I was going to the wrong way when I spotted the gate; I walked up to my gate and asked board.
The woman that was in charge of that gate said it had already left. She just shrugged it off and told me again it had already left. I backed away and dung out my phone and called my mother and told her what was happening while watching four other people tell the gate keepers the same.
Oh well, it was for the best since I had no idea what I was doing.Words Essay on my First Ride in an Aeroplane Aha! What an excitement it was for me as, it was to be my first ever travel by air.
